In Ancient Greece, the Agora constituted a gathering space. It was considered the heart of the city, a collective space where citizens, politicians and philosophers exchanged on their world and ideas. Following the idea of the Agora, MESURA introduces a series of talks by people in the field, offering a different point of view on every day concepts. A few times a year, we turn our office into a public venue, welcoming everyone to come and share opinions aiming to generate conversation.
This time we invite Elsa Dagný Ásgeirsdóttir (Design Producer, and Lead on their latest Bee Home project) speaking live from Copenhagen, about the concept of innovation, creative process, taking care of the planet, and what bee homes can teach us about housing for people.
You can now watch the full conversation on Instagram TV.

Space10 is Ikea’s innovation lab, tasked with dreaming up design solutions for better, more sustainable living. Founded in Copenhagen in 2015, the 24-person nonprofit has designed everything from Building Blocks, an open-source blueprint for low-cost, modular housing, to Lokal, a vertically integrated salad bar concept that Ikea is now testing in stores. Space10 also led the design of Ikea’s augmented reality app Place, which helps users visualize how Ikea furniture fits in their home. Looking ahead, SPACE10 plans to explore how tomorrow’s technologies will redefine the way we live at home and explore how we can enable households in emerging economies to improve lives at home through solar energy.
